The merSETA regrets to inform you that payments for Mandatory Grants are currently on hold until further notice.

The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) has encountered technical issues with the Skills Development Levies System (SDLIS), preventing employer data files from being sent to SETAs.

The DHET has confirmed that the SDLIS remains offline, making it impossible to provide employer files at this time.

The Department acknowledges the impact of this delay on SETAs and has requested patience while efforts are made to resolve the matter with urgency.

Despite active efforts by the DHET to address the issue, no estimated timeline for resolution has been provided to the SETAs.

Once the levy files are received, merSETA will prioritize and expedite the processing of payments.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and assure all affected stakeholders of our commitment to processing payments as soon as the necessary data becomes available.
